Murphy Burr Curry, Inc.’s renovation of this high-end penthouse included an innovative structural steel stair and rooftop deck. The Corian-clad stair consisted of cantilevered treads supported by a stringer and a landing suspended from the roof structure. The stair was designed to minimize vibration and was acoustically isolated from the floor slab to limit sound transmission.
