MBC’s CAD/Revit Specialist is an ambitious and talented member of the team with a strong background in structural drafting. This position leads the development and maintenance of our office drafting standards, using expertise and a strong understanding of industry standards. Additionally, the CAD/Revit Specialist assists and collaborates with our structural engineering team in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of technical support for projects, providing thought-partnership and execution of Revit models and AutoCAD drawings. A successful CAD/Revit Specialist must be a strong team player and take responsibility for leading the development and maintenance of office drafting standards.
Annual compensation for this full-time position ranges from $85,000 to $105,000. Job duties, requirements, and benefits of this at-will position are detailed below.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for leading efforts to develop and maintain MBC office drafting standards by staying current on industry (specific to structural design/drafting) standards and collaborating with engineering team.
- Using expertise to create and prepare essential project drawings and construction documents in adherence with MBC’s BIM/CADD/Drafting standards and industry standards.
- Providing thought-partnership for MBC engineering team and skillfully applying standard practices and techniques in specific/specialized situations.
- Coordinates drawings with project manager, engineer, and/or architect/client.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Self-motivated individual and fast learner that adapts well with new projects/challenges.
- Associate degree in engineering, architecture, or drafting (additional education preferred).
- Prior specialized experience in construction document production and highly proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical support experience, specific to structural drafting.
- Excellent communication, time management, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to lead and coordinate various types of projects.
