Akuavi Hine is a registered Structural Engineer in California with over 20 years of professional work experience with Murphy Burr Curry Inc., since graduating from California Polytechnic University in June of 2003. She is now an Associate with the firm.

Akuavi enjoys solving more complex structural issues with existing buildings and seismic upgrades of these buildings to code level, as they typically present unique challenges. She also has a strong background in multi-family housing projects, post-tensioned slab design, and tenant improvements throughout California.  Akuavi’s list of tenant improvement projects includes renovations for high-end retail clients such as Gucci, Chanel, and Hermes.  In addition, she has performed seismic evaluations and retrofits for existing multi-family housing developments.
