Murphy Burr Curry, Inc. (MBC) provided structural engineering for the new ground-level Allbirds retail space at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek.The scope of work for this project included signifi cant tenant improvements to the space. MBC designed framing to support a new storefront system and worked closely with the client and landlord to create a new delivery entrance in an existing shear wall.

Additionally, we designed the structural support for new MEP systems throughout the space and the support for new non-structural partition walls and suspended ceilings.

Murphy Burr Curry provided structural tenant improvement services for the Allbirds’ new store located in the Westfield University Town Center mall. Highlighting the store is new storefront system is a La Cantina folding door system that allows the nearly entire store frontage to open up to the center’s concourse. Above, a new steel framed streamlined canopy completes the client’s desired aesthetic. Murphy Burr Curry provided full design for this structural steel storefront system support as well as HVAC support and suspended ceiling design to meet the client’s needs.
