The Team

Mr. Murphy is a registered Civil and Structural Engineer and has been in continuous practice since graduating from Purdue University in 1973. Mr. Murphy has experience with the design and management of a wide variety of building engineering projects including:

Significant historically sensitive buildings
Innovative high end retail projects such as Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Fendi and others
Evaluation and repairs to structures damaged in earthquakes, fire and flooding
Evaluation, recommendations and implementation of structural improvements in existing building
New construction projects for residential and commercial use

Mr. Murphy has established a significant reputation for innovative and cost effective seismic retrofit solutions. Mr. Murphy is often called upon to review structural designs for value engineering and has recommended alternate designs that have successfully reduced construction costs while provided equivalent structural performance.
