Murphy Burr Curry, Inc. spearheaded seismic upgrades and alterations to convert the former home of Esprit Clothing into condominiums. Esprit Park is a mixed-use urban infill project in San Francisco's Dogpatch district. The project included the restoration and adaptive reuse of two brick and heavy timber warehouse buildings dating from the early 20th century. A portion of the 190 x 215-square-foot building was demolished. The two remaining high-ceiling structures were upgraded to current building code, with intermediate mezzanines at each level. Extensive shoring and foundation alterations were required to achieve the necessary floor heights and building separation.
